Animating the Forest: Glenmorangie's Enchanted Evening. A collaboration with PIM.
Step into a mesmerising world where Pomme Chan's illustrations for Glenmorangie come to life through captivating projection mapping.
PIM, a renowned events agency, approached me for a unique projection mapping project. Their client, the prestigious whisky brand Glenmorangie, was launching a limited edition called “The Tale of the Forest.” They had already collaborated with the incredibly talented artist Pomme Chan to create a striking look and feel for the bottle and visual merchandising. My task was to enhance their upcoming event in Sydney with my projection mapping expertise.

Bringing to life Pomme Chan's Amazing Artwork

The primary challenge was to create an immersive projection mapping experience that would bring Pomme Chan's enchanting illustrations to life. The goal was to complement the atmospheric setting of the event and captivate the audience, thereby elevating the launch of Glenmorangie's “The Tale of the Forest.”
To meet this challenge, I utilised advanced parallax techniques and motion design. This approach allowed Pomme Chan’s artwork to transform into a dynamic and immersive display, giving the illusion of depth and movement. The projection was synchronised with an audio track that echoed the ambiance of a forest, enhancing the overall sensory experience. This integration of visual and auditory elements was key to creating an enchanting atmosphere that truly reflected the spirit of Glenmorangie's new edition.

The outcome was a captivating projection mapping display that mesmerised guests and perfectly complemented PIM’s exceptional event setup. The illustrations seemed to come alive, drawing the audience into an enchanted forest, and the synergy of sight and sound created an unforgettable experience. This project was not just a technical achievement but also a testament to the power of collaboration in bringing a creative vision to life.
